Lisa Medina MA, LCDC

Lisa Medina | Counselor in Austin Texas

I have been in the mental health field for over 20 years and have worked tirelessly as a case manager, counselor, and client advocate for people living with substance use issues, chronic illness, and mental health disorders.  I spent the first half of my career working in community mental health settings providing case management for adults living with severe mental illness and substance use disorders. Case management taught me about true client advocacy: which is a partnership with those I serve and the importance of staying current about community resources.

Counseling is a process that I am honored to participate in with those that I serve.  During my time in private practice I have forged amazing, long-lasting partnerships with my clients.  I have advocated for those living with HIV and other chronic illness for over a decade as a counselor and clinical director.  I have gained pivotal experience in both the abstinence-based treatment world and within harm reduction settings.  I have been practicing harm reduction in various clinical settings for over a decade.

I will assist you in creating balance in your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health while providing radical compassion and love!
